Black Basalt Points

Black Basalt Points

Black Basalt is an igneous rock primarily composed of plagioclase, pyroxene, and olivine minerals, formed through the rapid cooling of lava after volcanic eruptions. Unlike crystalline minerals, basalt has a fine-grained structure due to the speed at which it solidifies, making it dense and rich in iron and magnesium. Basalt is widely used for grounding, strength, and protection, as it is believed to absorb negative energy and promote emotional stability. Because basalt does not naturally form in geometric shapes like quartz, it must be manually shaped and cut. Large basalt deposits are quarried, and the rock is sliced into slabs using diamond-tipped saws. Skilled artisans then grind and sculpt the slabs into pointed formations, ensuring a smooth and symmetrical finish. Some basalt points are polished for a sleek, refined look, while others retain a matte, natural texture. These points are commonly used in energy healing and meditation practices.
