Welcome to Shayna Earth

Hi, I am Jackie, based in Worcester, Western Cape. Shayna Earth was born from my love of crystals and was created in honour of my late cousin, Shane A. Petzer — co-founder of the Magpie Art Collective in Barrydale.

“Shayna” means beautiful, and “Earth” reflects Shane’s passion for creating beauty from what others might throw away — turning rubbish and recycling into art. Our Earth is our most beautiful gift — something to be cherished, protected, and appreciated.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of owning a crystal store. But I kept waiting — for the right time, enough money, for my ship to come in. Of course, it never really does. The “right” time never just arrives, and I never did win the lotto.

But if there’s one thing Shane taught me, it’s this: dream boldly, take action, create beauty, and live fully — because tomorrow isn’t promised. Whatever feeds your soul, do that — and do it today. Just start.

What makes us different?

We do plan on introducing an esoteric and spiritual section to the online store in the near future, as well as creating a spiritual-based community. In this way, the community would be able to share their ideas, crafts, interests, spiritual routines, meditation, healing and experiences.

Why would this make us different?

Instead of the store just being a marketplace like every other online crystal store, it would be useful to also be a place for the community to share their spiritual insights and/or experiences. So that nothing is gate-kept and people feel accepted and free to be themselves and comfortable in their own skin.
